Hilton Head Island Events
Every month of every season there is an endless parade of events, cultural highlights and unique happenings on our island and in surrounding lowcountry communities. Mark your calendar now for all of the entertaining, exciting and just plain fun events that our area has to offer. Spring is in full bloom with Hilton Head Island's annual SpringFest, manifested throughout the entire month of March with a roster of daily events. SpringFest is once again sponsored by the Hilton Head Area Hospitality Association. To find out more, call 686-4944. Then comes tournament month in April! The weather warms up and everyone catches spring fever, in anticipation of the PGA's Verizon Heritage Event on the famed Harbour Town Golf Links in Sea Pines Resort. This year's tournament is scheduled to be held April 9th-15th The summer season, noted for its popularity with vacationing families, speaks for itself. Even residents get into the vacationing-spirit during their leisure time. One of the island’s favorite warm weather pastimes is HarbourFest at Shelter Cove Harbour. This weekly summer event offers fireworks, arts and crafts, food, and live entertainment. One of the most wonderful times of the year here is autumn, bringing ideal weather for sports tournaments, including the 25th Anniversary of the Hilton Head Island Celebrity Golf Tournament held on Labor Day weekend to benefit island charities. There are concerts, fall festivals, sports tournaments and arts & crafts extravaganzas that grace the fall calendar. No longer are the days when the winter months are passed by or neglected as a time for fun; because from the glorious holiday season bursting with sparkling festivities, musical performances, Christmas tours and merry-making parades to mouth-watering food festivals—the cool weather signals excitement here on Hilton Head.
