However, the real winners of the MCI Heritage are the thousands of people the tournament helps each year. The Heritage Classic Foundation, general sponsor of the MCI Heritage, provides the financial stability, guidance and direction to the
tournament. The Foundation's one simple goal is charity. Since it was founded in 1987 as a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization, the Heritage Classic Foundation has helped numerous lives throughout the state. After each tournament, the Foundation
distributes revenue produced by the event to a wide variety of area and state charitable organizations, universities and medical institutions. In 2004, the Heritage Classic Foundation was honored to donate a record $1.35 million dollars, bringing the total to over $11.25 million since it was originated.
With support from loyal sponsors, spectators and volunteers, the MCI Heritage looks forward to continuing the tradition of giving year after year.
This year the MCI Heritage will be held April 11th-17th. The MCI Heritage XXVIII will be April 10th-16th, 2006. |
